|LiveJournal Tags: Fallen Soldier’s Stepmom has strong words for Commander in Chief
|U.S. Army Specialist Stephan Mace, 21, who grew up in Loudoun County, Virginia, was killed last Saturday in Afghanistan when 200 Taliban attacked his camp. His father and stepmother said when he was home in Winchester three weeks ago Stephan seemed to know it was the last time he would be with them.
As Fox 5 reported , his stepmother had some poignant words for our commander in chief: “It’s up to our government, our president and the Pentagon to ensure that these men and women get what they need in order to do what they’ve been asked to do so that when there’s a sacrifice, and there will be, it doesn’t feel like your children were left to hang out to dry.”
Our prayers are with Larry and Deb Mace, and the family members of all our brave men and women who have paid the ultimate price to protect our country.
