"In God We Trust" Is in Capitol Visitor Center

Offer thanksgiving; continue to pray as legal battles continue.
After more than one year of prayer and battling to restore references to our nation’s Judeo-Christian history stripped from the newly-constructed $621 million dollar U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, the engraving of our national motto, "In God We Trust," was unveiled in the Center at the end September. Rep. J. Randy Forbes of Virginia and the Congressional Prayer Caucus had taken a lead in this battle.
The nation’s largest group of atheists and agnostics, The Freedom From Religion Foundation, had filed a federal lawsuit in July to stop the engraving of "In God We Trust" and the "one nation under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance in the Visitor Center. Continued prayer is needed as the group is again filing a lawsuit to have these iconic mottos "sandblasted" and removed from the Center.
