|Houston-area Representative Pete Olson introduced a resolution to the House of Representatives to honor YAF activist and NJC alumna Hannah Giles, as well as her partner James O’Keefe, for their investigative videos exposing corruption at numerous ACORN offices around the country.
"Hannah and James should be applauded for their efforts to root out corruption and abuse of federal tax dollars," Representative Olson said in presenting his resolution. He also added that Hannah and James are "setting an example for concerned citizens across America" who feel that we need to hold those organizations who receive taxpayer funding more accountable for their actions and how they spend taxpayer money.
The resolution itself calls for Hannah and James to be honored for their investigative journalism and commends them for shining a light on ACORN.The introduced resolution directly credits the videos for the "potential annual savings of millions of taxpayer dollars to organizations that contract with ACORN."
